“Indeed, the light of the wicked goes out, And the flame of his fire gives no light...His roots are dried below, and his branch is cut off above.” Job 18:5 &16 NASB
Wickedness is the cause of dry roots

We can be hostile toward God in many ways.
· Rejecting His authority in our lives by doing our own thing
· Refusing to believe the truth of His word
· Reinterpreting the word to fit our own beliefs
